Royal Ultimus

More than 27 years after the international collaboration was first undertaken with the Twelfth Duke of Argyll, Scabal and Torquhil Argyll (Thirteenth Duke of Argyll) have decided to work together again.

To pay homage to his late father, Scabal has decided to launch the “Royal Ultimus” range, a reinterpretation of the fabrics that were created in 1983 for Torquhil’s father. Technology has evolved in the mean time and the new Royal Ultimus fabrics range is now even more attractive.

It is made from classic fabrics woven in England, 90 per cent Super 150’s wool and 10 per cent cashmere. This Super 150’s wool is spun to a very traditional yarn count introducing 10 per cent of the finest cashmere available. It results in one of the most beautiful cloth ever made in 320 grams.

Touching is believing...

Royal Ultimus

Classic(a) fair in Belgium

Scabal's customer A Ce Soir (Ghent, Belgium) participates in Classica 2011 with exclusive garments made in Scabal fabrics.

In "Galeria", the fair wants to draw the attention to the artisanal character of objects that surround us. A philosophy that hasn't changed since the first Classica in 1987. The visitor can observe each artisan in the making of their creations. Each designer will share their knowledge of ancient techniques and tradition.

The young, yet skillful tailor, Aravinda Rodenburg presents his personal suit creations in Lapis Lazuli and Royal Ultimus. Els Robberechts presents her latest and most original hats.

The biennale is organized at Kortrijk Xpo in Belgium (also famous for the "Interieur" biennale that exists since 1968) from November 5 till 13, 2011.

Thanks to A Ce Soir, we can give away 10 free tickets to this fair ! Click here to participate.
