The permanent collections assemble all the classical qualities which have made Scabal’s success. Besides our classical designs as plain designs, herringbones, houndstooths or black and white Prince of Wales, Scabal re-edits every 3 years its permanent collections, with the same improved qualities but with new and trendy designs.
Four Seasons
- Rare Fibres Overcoatings
FOUR SEASONS is a brand new range foreseen for Autumn-Winter 2008-2009, made in the Scabal mill in Huddersfield, England. This is a big collection that covers Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – the four seasons, just as Vivaldi’s masterpiece. There are 81 creations, all in 280 grams, a Super 120’s Wool. This is a suit you can wear every day in the office all year round. Even in Summer, it will not be too heavy, thanks to the construction and finish of the cloth. Even Vivaldi would have to agree the collection is beautiful.
A special feature about FOUR SEASONS is that the Wool used in this collection is eco-friendly Wool. The yarn is made from natural Wool produced from animals that are kept on natural land, which is not treated with herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Producers must also ensure that they do not exceed the natural carrying capacity of the land on which their animals graze. Although the amount of this Wool produced is still relatively small compared to other Wool, the farming is concerned with a different approach to animal welfare and the environment in its broadest sense. It strives to minimize pollution in any form by avoiding the use of artificial chemicals wherever possible.
Natural protection
We have also applied a very special finish to the cloth. It is a complex performance finishing process, which incorporates state of the art silver ion technology that keeps the fabric hygienic and fresh. The silver micro particles are carefully embedded into the cloth during the finishing process of FOUR SEASONS and are resistant to dry cleaning, ensuring protection throughout the life of the garment.
