The 2019 Golden Shears Awards
The final of the Golden Shears Competition took place on the 18th of March at The Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London. This year the winner of the Award is Rachel Singer, an apprentice at Maurice Sedwell. In second place and winner of the Silver Shears was Edward Jones, studying at the University for the Creative Arts. In third place and winner of the Rising Star award was Sophie Weller, an apprentice at Dunhill.
Over the past two years, Scabal has been working with the London college of Fashion supporting the bespoke tailoring course. For the first time, students from the second and the third year entered the Golden Shears.
