AW 22: An Exclusive Preview
New beginnings, fresh ambitions, and the decadent pleasures of layering – the coming season brings so much sartorial elegance to look forward to.
For Autumn Winter 2022, Scabal has luxury suiting perfectly planned out. With ten new collections, including a special anniversary, refreshed and reissued classics, and two entirely new editions, the effect across the board is one of casual refinement and sophistication.
Cold weather inspiration comes from both The Highlands and The Alps. Taking the warm, comfortable and durable fabric used to make clansmen’s kilts, Flannel is presented in a special collection of colourful and classic Saxony designs that feel fresh and modern. Meanwhile, like its namesake, the chic winter destination, the new luxury St Moritz jacket collection brings higher levels of luxury, style and practicality to satisfy even the most demanding man about the mountains.
Also hitting new altitudes of luxury for A/W, Scabal’s Fascination Suiting, in cashmere and vicuna – two of the world’s most precious materials, is a collection that represents the ultimate in investment pieces.
Inspired by Salvador Dali’s mantra that “a dull outfit has never highlighted a personality”, Scabal’s new Festival collection is evening wear with impact. Across vibrant fluorescents, a large selection of printed velvets, opulent jacquards, sparkling lurex and Doppione silks, this rich choice of new luxury fabrics and soft, unconstructed tuxedos is set to become the go to for personalities looking to stand out on the red carpet and on their own terms.
This year marks Scabal’s 50th anniversary on Savile Row, London, and to celebrate we have created a collection – Savile Row – featuring 50 articles all with a distinctly British feel. Further new introductions this season include the Sapphire, Royal Ultimus and Treasure Box collections, while Scabal’s enduringly popular Corduroy, Tornado and Hybrid collections continue to evolve with new hues and combinations.
Savile Row is also celebrated in the tailoring collections with some British suiting favourites with hand finishing elements. A new overshirt in cashmere is a perfect addition to the Bliss collection, while new pieces of heavy cashmere knitwear are a decadent winter luxury.
